Angela’s qualifications bring medicine, sexology and therapy into the same conversation: she is a Fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine, a COSRT-registered therapist and a Diplomate of the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine. This rare combination means she can assess (and work with) each of the medical, sexual, psychological and relational factors that may form part of what is happening.
Angela is trained in EMDR and somatic trauma therapy. She believes trauma-informed care is essential: treatment is paced, collaborative and mindful of how trauma can shape the body, relationships and sense of safety — including medical trauma following cancer treatment.
Angela is the current BSSM Secretary, coSRH Menopause Guardian and Expert Working Group Lead. She also teaches the biomedical module of the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS) course.
A joined-up approach for when your body, hormones, relationships and history all belong in the same conversation.
