Celebrating Women’s Health Made Easy — and the people making change possible
Last night was the official launch of Women’s Health Made Easy at the Vagina Museum. It was a night I will remember for a very long time.
Carys, Angela and I all had a chance to speak. While I was listening to the others and waiting for my turn, I looked around the room.
I saw clinicians, therapists, researchers, charities, campaigners, educators, friends and family — many people who have dedicated years to making things a little better for women, often without much celebration or recognition.
A community that could move mountains
I used my speech to talk about the need for trauma-informed care. If the professionals in that room were in charge of women’s health, I think we would move mountains. I felt proud of all of us.
One of the most beautiful things was watching people from completely different parts of my life meet for the first time and make new connections. So many good things happen when brilliant people find each other.
Today I feel full of gratitude: for everyone who came, everyone who supported the book, and everyone working behind the scenes to make women’s healthcare more compassionate, more evidence-based and more human.
We often rush from one project to the next, but this launch was a reminder to pause and celebrate — not just the book, but the inspiring community making real change feel possible.
